Ethernet IP between controllers

Ethernet IP between controllers

No, it is not possible to set up EthernetIP between Motion Coordinators because our EthernetIP can only be the server side and we have no Client (Scanner) function.

There are other protocols which can be used, for example Modbus TCP/IP can be set up as both Server and Client so you have, for example the Flext-6 Nano as Server and the MC664-X as the Client.

Server side needs very little setup, it is active all the time linked to VRs with 16 bit INT values.  Use ETHERNET function 14 to modify this if needed.

Client side needs a bit more setup using the MODBUS command.  See MODBUS in the Trio BASIC Help.
